Michaela Morris sammenligner flere årgange af Antinoris Tignanello og Solaia og ser på den stilistiske udvikling af to vine født med adskillige års mellemrum i 1970'erne, men fra den samme toscanske ejendom.
En af Italiens mest berømte vine, Tignanello skubber 50. Vingården blev først henvist til på en etiket af Antinoris Chianti Classico Riserva fra 1970, og det følgende år undgik Tignanello betegnelsen for den ringe betegnelse Vino da Tavola. Dens modstykke, Solaia, blev født kort derefter i 1978.
Begge vine har gennemgået en udvikling. I de tidlige år ændrede deres blandinger sig gradvist. Tignanello landede til sidst på 80-85% Sangiovese , støttet af Cabernet Sauvignon og Cabernet Franc , mens Solaias 75% Cabernet Sauvignon afrundes af Sangiovese og Cabernet Franc. Med vinernes identitet veletableret har Antinori viet de sidste 20 år til at finjustere stilene.
